Last minute late booking accepted when everywhere else in Ashbourne was booked out.
Has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with a single and a double bed.
It was perfect for 4 of us, only 5 minutes from Ashbourne Town centre @ €50 per head.
Spotless clean, excellent shower, comfy beds, warm apartment.
We just needed somewhere to put our heads down but it'd be perfect base too if you're exploring the area for a few nights.
Gas hob, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster etc. Plus all your cutlery.
Set 20 km from National Botanic Gardens, 23 km from Croke Park Stadium and 24 km from Dublin Zoo, Modern Homestay Rooms Dublin Airport 15 minutes features accommodation situated in Ballyboughal.

As a family of 4 people attending the Harry styles concert in slane castle 🏰. After booking this Pilo hotel with two teenagers it was an absolute disgrace . I arrived back about 2 am to a room without any clean towels or bins 🗑 emptied. They also must have work going on as the loud banging noises from the room next door 🚪 I thought a hammer was coming through our walls . Before we left for the concert 🎵 I asked the cleaners to freshen up our room with clean towels and stuff and they just nodded at me . I’m not sure even if they speak English or not but very rude. No one was on reception and my husband had to drive to a shop to get loo roll 🧻 for our children 👧. The next morning as I was checking out I made staff aware of what happened and they said I should have called reception for assistance. The same reception we passed through on the way in this was unattended.
Anyway they have fun cctv and they had the audacity to try and put the blame back on me saying I had put a do not disturb sign 🪧 on the door 🚪. This again was lie’s as I took a picture of my kids leaving for the concert 🎵 and no signs were hanging on my room door .
The staff are very rude and also another lady who had the same problem as us was telling them about her stay . No towels for shower 🚿 or soap and loo rolls as well , so we all could not have been lying 🤥. I’ll never recommend this place for anyone else.

Good choice of Restaurants and shopping facilities.
Good choice of Restaurants and shopping facilities. Ashbourne Garden Centre on the outskirts of the town had an excellent Cafe. If you were visiting Tayto Park it was a great base for families as it was very near.

Tayto park is very close by for families looking for a lovely day out. There is buses that can bring you into Dublin for those who would love to look around the capital, or those who love to shop. Ashbourne also has "fifty fifty" restaurant in the location. This place does the most superb food and I would recommend for people to visit.

My stay at the Pillo Hotel was very good.
My stay at the Pillo Hotel was very good. Stopped in the town briefly, there looked to be a good selection of shops.
My highlight was seeing the statue of "Himself" (Arkle) in such a lovely setting. I then had coffee in a nearby teashop where I was served by very friendly staff.
On the Saturday evening, I ate with friends just out of town at " The Snailbox". Very nice food, with music later in the evening. Very welcoming staff.
Hotel reception ordered a taxi for me to get to "The Snailbox" it arrived within 5 minutes. Very impressed.
Very clean, quiet place with a private garden, a super friendly landlord and everything you could possibly wish for! It is marvelous, book it and see for yourself! Yes, it is a bit remote but everything you need is within 8-15 minutes of driving range. Dublin is near, you have good access to the north city by car, and you can opt for public transport to get to the city. Next stop is quite a distance, so you are better off with a car and park'n'ride. Two dogs on property, both very friendly and well behaved.
Initially taken aback at the "cottage" but the accommodation was cosy, clean and the beds especially comfortable.
For us the location was superb as we were visiting Emerald Park and it is only 11 minutes away. Access to shops and takeaways in Ashbourne is only 5 minutes away and shopping and additional dining are available in Blacjhardstown just 14 minutes in the other direction (we wanted to nip in for Nados after the park).
We wanted to spend one night outside of Dublin, and this was a perfect nearby destination. Ashbourne was advertised as a B & B, but it is more of a hotel, which was a pleasant surprise. Staff was always helpful and cheerful. We had a very nice dinner at the attached restaurant and bar, and the bartender was great fun. We even stayed for the live music.
The only good thing I can say the lady at the reception was really nice very helpful. She is working in a wrong hotel, she could work in a better place than that.
Cleaning staff you can see poor girls are doing their best. Rooms were cleaned well bathrooms were shiny. But there is only so much you can work with when everything is so old and out of date.
it’s a nice country road bnb with ample parking spaces on the property; also bus stops (either towards Dublin or Ashbourne) right outside the property! Good sized room and bathroom. Good facilities although a bit dated in interior decor. They have fancy internal window blinds which you can adjust to suit your requirements.
The owner and staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We caught the bus into Dublin from right out front on the recommendation of the owner. Turned out to be much better than taking the car. He also recommended some good pubs and restaurants in town.
I love this hotel. There are no frills but that's why it's an affordable choice. It's clean, great showers and staff are friendly and helpful. I stay here regularly. It's just off the motorway and is really close to Dublin City too.
We used hotel while we attened a wedding near by. Room was fantastic and clean. Staff and front desk super helpful and friendly. The lady doing the breakfasts was beyond helpful and it was delicious!
This property was perfect for our family. We were travelling with two toddlers so the private garden was great. A short drive to Ashbourne and Tayto Park.
