The H&J was exceptional. This was a last minute booking due to a work schedule change and I couldn’t believe my luck. The room was spotless and spacious. Bathroom was modern and bright.
All staff were amazing. Special mention for Tríona in the bar. Everyone was very busy but incredibly patient, polite and attentive.

We were welcomed by Jean, the smug hosts who make you feel at home during your stay. Breakfast delicious, prepared, gluten free option available. The house is situated idyllically. Free parking in front of the entrance to the building. Our stay was wonderful and we regret that we could not have stayed longer!

The location is ideal for travelling to other parts of Tipperary and Kilkenny. The Leisure centre and pool are lovely and a welcome respite from the heat. We travelled to Thurles and to Clonmel when we were there.

I have over the years used the hotel to meet customers, have meetings over lunch. I stayed at the hotel mainly because it is central geographically from a work point of view but would be the same for holidaying in Ireland. The bar area and food was great, a good choice to choose from and the staff very helpful. The room was perfect and comfortable, Wi-Fi worked very well and reliable, bathroom was spacious and you got plenty of towels!! A great breakfast to put you on, i will be staying here again when next working in Ireland
Iv stayed in a number of hotels during covid and they all seem to use it as an excuse to not replenish tea coffee etc. My room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The whole place is immaculate. Breakfast was great and was able to order specially made food not on the menu.. I couldn't rate this place any higher... my only suggestion would be to make the waitresses in the evening more service focused.
We stopped at the hotel on our road trip around Ireland. The place was easy to reach, in a nice 'rural/village' setting. Regarding this, the affiliated (cozy!) pub and restaurant were very convenient. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and comprehensive.
Hello.
Overall the stay was fine. We stopped off en-route to Killarney and we have stayed there before and it was grand. The only thing that the hotel really needs is decorated. The outside is now shabby looking and the inside is very dark and gloomy in places.
I thought it was really a lovely place. Unfortunately I arrived in the early am of the next day & planned to sleep in. they are refurbishing the room across the hallway so the jackhammering woke me earlier. Other than that the room was very clean & spacious.
Location; facilities are excellent- pool is a good size and changing areas etc very clean. Restaurant/bar food is amazing; very tasty and great choice. Bed very comfortable, rooms clean and bathrooms clean. Would highly recommend , will be staying again
service exceptional. bar staff friendly, bar food homely and tasty. breakfast- good choice. Stayed in nicer for less. I did enjoy my stay. I can’t complain. Top service and very polite bar staff even when under pressure, spotless hotel for sure
This was a really nice hotel. The room was spacious. The amenities were awesome. This hotel had by far the best breakfast buffet of our trip to Ireland/Northern Ireland which was even included in the price.
We loved everything. We love staying in the Horse and Jockey Hotel. We have stayed in the hotel before and hopefully will for many a year to come. Dinner, bed and breakfast excellent.
rooms were spacious, high-spec and in great condition.
the staff were amazing and very friendly
the hotel in general had fantastic facilities and delicious, locally -sourced food.
Have stayed in this hotel a couple of times, always find the staff friendly. The room was warm and comfortable. Bar food was good and value for money. Would stay again.
