Leixlip is a small town, very friendly but Leixlip Manor was not up to scratch. We found a nice restaurant in Leixlip as the Leixlip Manor had no food for evening meal although we were advised it had. It was very disappointing,
We were thankful we only stayed one night.

Hotel is in great location for liffey valley shopping centre. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and evening dinner was good. Down side was bathroom shower hose sprayed out water went out onto floor. The sink stopper didn't work and also the toilet didn't flush very well. Had to put curtains up on window sill so the heat of radiator could get out.

Pretty little Irish village just outside Dublin iwth strong links to the Guinness family. Lovely walks along the river Liffey and countryside with plenty of pubs and dining options. Only 1/2 an hour by car from the airport, ferry terminals and Dublin City. 2 train stations with journey to Dublin also about 1/2 an hour and good value plus decent bus services. Liffey Valley shopping complex is also nearby. Overall providees the best of both worlds for a city/country stay
Our room and bathroom were comfortable. Furniture was nice; bath fixtures new. The view over the green grass with mountains beyond was relaxing. There was a horse and sheep in evidence to add to the country feel. One could walk around the extensive grounds. The building itself had lots of character. Not that far from the airport. Especially good spot if you're heading west.
Don't miss the "Wonderful Barn" on your way out of Leixlip.
Grainne saved my life that day, mine and my tourist's too!;) We had no rooms to stay at the nearby hotel, and I found her place which is located in the same district - I love Leixlip neighborhood, it's nice and peaceful there, far away from Dublin crowd!:) And so was the lodge! Apart from that, as I had no place to go, Grainne let me stay - as she had no more apartments available - at her own house! Amazing hospitality!:))
Staff were friendly and helpful, beautiful location with easy access to Dublin from bus stop opposite hotel and lots of restaurants, pubs in walking distance. Also, nice walks along the river (weather permitting). Our room was very peaceful, we could not hear any noise from bar areas (see below). Overall, would recommend the hotel, just be sure to book in one of the quieter rooms.
If you want to go into Dublin parking is crazy. However, directly outside the hotel is a bus stop with busses arriving every 15-20 minutes that will take you directly into the city centre. Getting back was just as simple and direct. Loved the location!
Really comfortable place to stay, cute village, nice walks and easy to reach Dublin city in about 20-30 mins by car. About 30 mins from the airport too.
Good breakfast, cooked to order so fresh and hot! Good size room, comfy bed, quiet.
EVERYTHING! Amazing, unique accommodations. Great location. Castletown, Leixlip, Maynooth… all beautiful and charming. Dublin… just a half hour away. We loved this place for so many reasons and highly recommend.
secluded and has a characteristic you’ll find nowhere else in Ireland! Makes you feel like you went back 200 years back in time! Nothing like this ever experience and if you have a chance to book don’t hesitate!
Very little to be honest we booked with booking.com in good faith having stayed twice before and loving it to arrive to a hotel being refurbished. Should have been informed before arrival or booking .
This was incredible. The place to go back, without any doubts. We needed to move really early and they served good breakfast for us with tosts and coffee, you do not need more at 6 a.m. Great hotel!
Location was great for me and the relaxing gardens and obvious history of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and down to earth which is refreshing. I also saw a fox in the garden in the morning.
The size, cleanliness and facilities of the room, the comfortable beds. Well heated rooms.
Bus stop just outside of the hotel. Staff generally friendly and polite.
Lovely hotel with lots of history -Arthur Guinness connection. Rooms lovely overlooking river. Bar and restaurant good. Big outdoor bar area with heating
