The breakfast was incredible and the room so beautiful and sweet. Very clean! The bed was huge and comfy. Plenty of room to park the car right in front of the house. Patricia was professional and helpful. The pub "Roadside Tavern" is just a ten-minute walk away and serves delicious food.

We would have stayed in Doolin if we would have known there wasn’t traditional music as advertised at our hotel. It was the whole reason we stayed there and the music was in Doolin, not Lisdoonvarna.
The tourist economy is extremely competitive. Tourists want to see quaint and experience attractions in the short time they are traveling through a community. It’s expensive for a city to provide those kinds of things that demanding travelers want. Perhaps a regional travel organization can increase collaboration among communities to set the stage for regional success, not just success for Doolin.

Did not explore Lisdoonvarna itself too much but it would have been worth a day or two, just too much other stuff pre-planned. Was a great base to the Burren, Doolin, Cliffs of Mohr, Aran islands ferry.

Live music at the Ritz, however all the large hotels were shut to the public as they were being used to house refugees. Absolutely no problem with that use but they surly could allow the public access to the restaurants coffee shops etc as without this there were only limited facility in the town.

Considering that it is a tourist destination, it is quiet shabby I thought. The town coucil (like many others in Clare) should consider a factfinding trip to the likes of Westport to see how a tourist town SHOULD look like.
The "What would you recommend Lisdoonervarna for" sectoin is challenging "Its central position in North West Clare and the roads out of it" was not an option..

We went for the festival which we went to every year before Covid and I am sorry to say it was not as it usually is. All of the hotels were closed which was a major disappointment. Thankfully the Ritz still serves great food but the Matchmaker bar which is usually excellent was closed along with a lot more.
I am afraid we will not be going back and this saddens me as the festival was usually hopping.

We loved Lisdoonvarna.
We loved Lisdoonvarna. The town is small but lively and we really enjoyed the Ritz House Hotel. First, they were very kind, with free Wi-Fi available in the bar. We had an excellent dinner there, with great food, service and atmosphere. We wished we had booked to stay there!
We used the trip as a point for visiting the Aran Islands from nearby Doolin. This worked very well and we had a wonderful day out there, in the care of Doolin Ferries.
we arrived and were told we could only pay in cash - said our visa didn’t go through? this made no sense and we felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave and the host was upset. There was nothing wrong with our credit card as we used it at the hotel we ended up staying at. Room was not appealing and the whole experience was unsettling
I thought the common spaces were charming and it’s good for families with a lot of kids because the room had beds for all four of them. The staff was very nice and the other guests were too. I love Ireland and love this little town and I hope that somehow the hotel can be updated and get the support it needs to be all that it can be.
Patricia is a fabulous host, runs a very comfortable exceptionally clean & cosy B&B, stayed here 3 days, loved our breakfasts. Always tea & coffee available & a lovely comfy lounge to sit & read the many books on The Burren Patricia also suggested places to eat in Lisdoonvarna which is only a very short drive away
Loved the people, the food, comradory, and the town.of Lisdoonvarna. Loved how Lyn and John have put themselves up to assist the Ukrainian people! I have watch as both of them taught many Ukrainians in the working of a hotel. And all done with the greatest of patience. It is a pleasure to count them as friends!
Beautiful country house hotel. staff were very efficient and welcoming. bed was very comfortable. we had breakfast on both mornings of our stay and the choice was amazing. We also had evening dinner on one evening and it was one of the best meals ever - we really enjoyed the whole weekend.
Breakfast was from heaven. The bed was the best I’ve ever slept on, and the biggest they provided during my stay in Ireland. The host lady was really helpful and extremely nice, she provided many tips to visit different cliffs. I’d love to live there forever.
Perfect location with beautiful facilities. Best part was the hospitality of the hosts who bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed. We were traveling on bicycles in the rain so he graciously dried our clothes!
Lynn and John were very friendly. All the staff were friendly too. Breakfast was very good. Food in Hotel available until late. Room was good. Comfortable Bed. Parking nearby at the GAA across the road.
The rooms are small, but the hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was great. Innkeepers were very nice to open their hotel for us during their off season.
