Room was OK but not perfect as it was not what I asked for (see below). Staff were very helpful, welcoming, the manager spoke good English (though I didn't need it). . The evening meal was v. good and breakfast good. Hubby liked the beer and I liked the wine! (after a long drive both very appreciated).

If it weren’t for Joan of Arc, Orléans may not have become the beautiful city it is today. The teenage heroine of France liberated the city during the Hundred Years War, a fact commemorated with a May festival and a statue of her on horseback in a large square (well, hexagon).
From Joan’s former house nearby, a road leads to Sainte-Croix Cathedral. Arriving from this direction, the cathedral appears somewhat overshadowed by terraced buildings, until you step out into its square and realise what an incredible structure it is.
To the north is the fine art museum and in the opposite direction are the shops, restaurants and bars of Rue de Bourgogne. Place du Châtelet houses more shops, overlooked by narrow half-timbered buildings. Just south, historic Georges V Bridge crosses the fast-flowing Loire River, connecting the historic centre with modern suburbs.
South of the river are the Parc des Expos and Zenith d’Orléans event centres, while further away is the Parc Floral de la Source – gardens centred on the source of the Loiret River. Even further south is the tranquil Sologne forest, while to the west the Loire passes many wonderful castles.
As well as Loire Valley accommodation, Booking.com offers luxury Orléans hotels, cheap B&Bs and apartments near the train station.

A lovely city. A lot of history, but absolutely not boring.
Very clean as well.
Romantic ballads along the Loire-river.
Interesting castles as well (Sully).

We were only in Orleans for one night after flying transatlantic into Paris. So we did not see much. We formed a positive impression though...the statue of Joan of Arc, the Cathedral, the shops and quaint, easily walkable historic district.

Orléans is a surprising small city, packed with history and home to Jeanne d’Arc. Beautiful city centre, very beautifully planned and executed urban redevelopment putting on focus historical features and yes the cathedral is just stunning. We stayed only a short overnight and were lucky to witness the late night light show pinned to the facade of the cathedral: just stunning. Beautiful pedestrian areas with medieval timber framed houses as well as glamorous arcades and squares. Will go back again!

From the U. S. and first time visiting France.
From the U. S. and first time visiting France. We were in Orleans for just one night. This hotel is in a great location to walk to the sights and pedestrian areas. The front desk staff were proactively helpful providing a map of the area and what is available.
The parking was in a courtyard and very safe. As extra bonus for this hotel, we asked for a bucket of ice and actually got a wine bucket with ice. I say this because at a hotel stay with different chain a couple nights prior we got a cereal bowl of ice.
Room was pristine and had AC. Temps have been about 80 and nights were not very cool to sleep at prior lodgings we were staying at.
Should we visit Orleans again we will stay at this hotel.
Really lovely apartment in the town. Secure parking (behind security gate) with no height limit - ideal for those travelling with a full car & roof box, without needing to unpack everything. The apartment was really lovely, spacious and a much more pleasant place to stop than IBIS type hotels. Also the fact that we could book for a single night only. Would love to return to Orleans with more time to spend there and would definitely try to book the same apartment again. Thank you Sylvie!
The location is great for visiting Orleans. It is in the middle of the historical center of the city. The apartment is in an old building - interesting itself (be aware of the third floor without an elevator). The window view is great. The apartment is well equipped for a stay of 2 or 4 people (because of a single bathroom - for 2 it is better))). The kitchen has everything you need for a mid/long stay. Some kitchen stuff might be renewed.
I liked this hotel, it was near the centre of Orleans and the parking is included in the accomodation if you travel by car. The rooms were clean, however felt a bit outdated, but nevertheless the beds were comfy and the bathroom was clean as well. The breakfast is not included and costs EUR 17,50. They even allocated me the more quite room which is next to the parking lot and not next to the street.
The hotel was perfectly located near the main square in Orleans. In a very historic part of town, this little gem of a hotel has been updated with great care. Our room was great and the breakfast before departure was generous and delicious. Gabriel who managed the front desk while we were there went out of his way to help us when he saw that we were struggling to speak French.
Well. I can say this hotel was totally good. the room was quite big but not so new because it was clear they just used wallpaper stuff to make it looks new. but the room is quite big with an extra blanket and pillows. our room wasn't included in the breakfast but the location is amazing. it is close to the railway stations and downtown.
Brilliant property. It had secure parking which was useful as I was travelling through France on my motorbike. The host David was helpful with great comms and a useful video showing what's what. The apartment is well finished, comfortable with a great shower.
Would recommend and will hopefully return.
The ancient elevator with stained glass windows. The refrigerator in the room. The color scheme in the hallway. The hotel is in a major shopping street on the way to the center of Orleans several 350 feet away with lots of restaurants, terraces, and a mini train city tour. Breakfast was pretty good.
Comfort Hotel Orléans Sud Co'met is my go-to hotel when I travel from Netherlands to Spain. It's conveniently located about halfway just below Paris. Rooms are alright and beds comfy. Breakfast is okay. It also has an enclosed private parking. Feels very secure. I love coming here.
Good value stopover on our way home from the south of France, much more comfortable than the tiny rooms in the budget hotel we had stayed in on the way. Quiet neighbourhood apart from the children's playground over the road (but it was nice to hear kids out playing).
The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, helping us with luggage as well as giving my wife and I a great rundown on where to go and what to see in Orleans. Room was nice and very very comfy bed! Would definitely recommend the Hotel Saint Martin.
The hotel is sparkling clean with comfy rooms and beds. We spent almost a week in Ibis Orleans Centre Gare. The staff was gentle and always available to satisfy your needs. We will surely book it again if we go back to Orleans.
Superb location, comfortable (albeit small) room, attentive staff and a very good breakfast. Having forgotten an item on checkout, the hotel staff went the extra mile to locate and to safely return the item.
Boutique hotel in the centre of Orleans next to the Loire. Nicely appointed with a breakfast room but not a full restaurant. Plenty of choice nearby however . Staff are super friendly
I have stayed at this hotel at least once or twice a year for the last ten years en route to or returning from southern France and have always previously given it a high score.
Central Orléans with easy non contact entry and self management, a beautiful courtyard and spacious, modern well-appointed rooms, this hotel offers comfort and convenience.
The parking behind the hotel is big enough. The rooms are new and the staff is really friendly. You can walk to the city center, make sure you enter the Cathedral!
