The room was impressively spacious and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a great night sleep.
One of the highlights was the heating system, warming up the room almost immediately after we turned it on. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was brilliant, and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and the full english was perfect. Our two kids are fussy eaters (and messy) but they loved their fresh fruit, frosties, scambled eggs, hashbrowns and sausages. Oh, and baked beans and toast too. With mushrooms. Delicious and cooked to perfection.

I have not visited Bridlington for many years and it's a typical English resort. For me, it's more suited for families with young children as it has great beaches. There's a tourist train that runs along the seafront and it was full so it's popular with visitors. Bridlington can be a good base too for days out to other resorts such as Filey, Hornsea and Flamborough Head.

Traditional seaside resort with evidence of more effort put into it, a harbour and a huge beach. Wide range of independent shops and cafes/pubs/restaurants, great cliff walks and RSPB Bempton a couple of miles North. Massive sea bird colonies.

We visited for the Race to the Waves weekend, it was very well organised. Bridlington town was nice, it also had a few places we could take our dog - eg cafes/restaurants.
Old town is also worth a visit

It depends what people want.
It depends what people want. A good place for children, with rides on the front and arcades for games. We didn't go on the beach, too cold. Quite a few nice shops and cafes. Where we stayed was literally 5 minutes walk from the Spa theatre, which we went to for 2 evening shows. It also has a cafe. About 10 minutes walk to the harbour and town centre. It seemed to have plenty of buses for people staying further out.
There were 2 restaurants across from the theatre. A Mediterranean and a Chinese. We had meals at the Mediterranean, which were good and understood that the Chinese was also a good place to eat.
Fish and chip shops were also in the town centre.

We arrived in the rain, and found it tricky to find our way around eventually finding the harbour carpark. The seafront beyond the amusement arcades which look a bit rundown, is pleasant with a lovely promenade with good access for everyone.Lovely sandy beachtoo. We spent our visit at nearby Sewerby Hall and gardens, Flamborough cliffs and Bemptoncliffs. Marton Grange is a cosy haven after walking the coastal paths.

Wonderful place.
Wonderful place. Something for everyone, quiet parts, lively parts, child friendly, lots of spaces where dogs are allowed, clear notices where they are not. The promenade: lots of public toilets signed wit the distance between so you can see which is nearest. Nice to see the harbour. Lots of shops in the centre of town.
I last visited the Monarch Hotel in 1975 when it was one of Bridlington premier hotels. It has obviously changed a lot since then and is catering for a different clientele but the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and of a high standard and the breakfast was basic but still prepared to a very high standard, the sausage bacon and grilled tomato were surprisingly good. When I booked the Monarch I new what to expect but I wanted to see how the old place looked. Much better than any Britannia Hotel we have ever stayed in.
Very friendly owners who made us feel very welcome as the main owner came to greet us when we checked in who was very pleasant. Room was very clean and was a very nice family sized room. When we went for a drink in the hotel bar there was lot of games for the kids to keep them happy. Great location in Bridlington as only 5 to 10 minutes walk to the main front of the beach for all the main attractions. Definitely recommend staying here and when we next come back to Bridlington we will be definitely coming back to this hotel again.
Very friendly and efficient service always with a smile from Gifty and the lady who served breakfast whose name I didn't catch but nothing was too much trouble and customer care obviously matters to them. Breakfast was amazing, cooked to your own specifications, room was spotless and comfortable and quiet too. I was attending An Evening With Asa Elliott at the Bridlington Spa on the Saturday night, so the location of the hotel could not have been handier. I would not hesitate to use this hotel again, thank you so much!
The location was amazing on the sea front and not even a 2 minute walk into the town!
owners were so friendly, helpful, welcoming and the room was a cute seaside theme and different compared to a boring hotel room. You look out the window and see the sea which is perfect. your own parking space which was an amazing BONUS as main issues with other accommodations never have parking.
Will be coming back! Thank you X
Amazing location, couldn't have had a better location for a stay in Bridlington. Watching the sea from our balcony view until it went dark, and waking up to the sea was a wonderful experience.
Perfect place to stay for a long weekend.
The owners of the flat prepared us for our stay by sharing details through e-mail, and as I had a few questions they were quick and helpful in their response.

Breakfast was delicious and Tony and Steve were really helpful and informative hosts. I would definitely stay with them again. They gave us a voucher for use in other local restaurants with 20% off which we used on their Sunday Carvery recommendation at another Hotel.
Great location. Easy walk to town and Bridlington Spa venue. There is a bit of parking out the front with signs saying reserved for the hotel use. We parked without an issue. The staff are incredibly helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
Position of hotel, although on main road into Bridlington was quiet and accommodation away from the pub, although a problem when raining, meant it was quiet and away from any noise generated by customers drinking in the excellent pub garden.
Absolutely lovely apartment, very comfortable.
Great location to see Bridlington South beach or just to chill in.
+ Parking available in front of the property, perfect.
Conveniently located for the harbour and seafront attractions.
Car parking provided.
Friendly and welcoming.
Superb freshly cooked breakfast.
