A little village right on Carlingford Lough with views...
A little village right on Carlingford Lough with views across to the mountains and down the firth. Very well-equipped petrol station shop and a number of other stores plus a post office. Only 5or so miles from Carlingford and the same to Newry over the border, and mountain roads going up Slieve Foy from the village. A convenient well-located little town.

Everything was beautifully prepared for us, plus an unexpected and very generous welcome pack. Also some helpful supplies such as salt and pepper, oil etc The surrounding area is beautiful with many diverse activities jaunts possible. Including a coastal walk to Carlingford. I had not noticed when booking that there was no wifi, but in the end that turned out to a good (enforced) break from the iPad...! However others might feel bereft, especially if staying for longer.... Therefore it might be a good precaution to point out 'No wifi' on the accommodation info. We were 4 adults, 2 elderly, and felt a bit of pressure at times with there being only one toilet, which was in the bath/shower room. This could be more of a problem if there were 6 adults who are not close family...? But, for us, a wonderful holiday stay - thank youLong ago banana girlUnited Kingdom
