I and my wife visited the 2023 Gdynia Film Festival and stayed in Gdynia for two days. I recommend this town to visitors who like beaches, cycling, and hiking on the shore. There are also several interesting museums.

Tje Gdynia is a beautiful city, 1 full day I think is enough to get most from the city. To start with the famous port, where you have the museum ships. There on the port you can chill, sing, talke a walk, jog and much more. The beach offers a great relaxation. For children there is a playing area.
The city is tidy and clean offers great cnnections to Sopot and Gdansk.

Gdynia was close to an event I was attending.
Gdynia was close to an event I was attending.
The neighbouring Sopot and Gdansk are much nice places to visit.
So, if one has a car the accommodation may be a good base for visiting Gdynia and Sopot.
The Aquarium and a few museums are worthwhile visiting in Gdynia.
Although I would prefer to stay in Gdansk and Sopot if I was visiting those, rather than commuting

Gdynia sucks. There you have it. Case closed.
Gdynia sucks. There you have it. Case closed.
Traffic everywhere, no pedestrian-only streets, a serious lack of restaurants. No iconic buildings, museums, or anything really of note. It's the wet dream of a brutalist architect come true.
With that said, there a few pearls hidden within the concrete djungle, especially next to the sea. If you walk east along the beach, you'll eventually get to Gdynia Redlowo, which is a cozy little touristic community, with a few restaurants, bars, and, well, the beach.
All in all, unless you're right at the water, there's just nothing to see.
A daytrip, sure, but frankly you're better off staying in Sopot or Gdansk.

Simply an outrage to stay in this hotel.
Simply an outrage to stay in this hotel. Our stay for one night was unfortunately marked by a very negative experience. When we arrived, when we asked for a parking space for our car, we were told that there were no hotel parking spaces. we were handed a sketch with the option to drive around the block and park there. We had to pay for this parking space. so we started looking for this parking lot. One hour after the sketch I looked for the parking lot and couldn't find it. even the police station in the neighborhood was contacted by us. they couldn't help us either. the parking lot was only signposted, the barrier that had to be found was simply not there and after an hour of searching we returned to the hotel unnerved. I don't blame the manedem staff. they are handed the sketch and told they sell it to the guest. the management has completely failed here. This is not worthy of a 5 star hotel and a no go. We no longer visit the hotel because it had a negative impact on our stay. two positive things. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is really good.
The property is located near to several supermarkets and shops and, despite being next to a fairly busy road, is really quiet. This same road is a good way to get to the nearby cities of Gdynia and Sopot - either by using public transport or driving. I liked the fact that there were a lot of trees and vegetation. The instructions provided by the host were simple to follow, and I appreciated the chocolates provided as a welcoming gift. One of the highlights of the property was the shower unit which was marvellous and felt luxurious.
The booking and welcom at the propriety went fully online - we got detailed instructions on the appartament, door code an the location of phisical keys by text message. Wi-fi code and instructions on the appartement rules (trash disposal/recycling) where clear an detailed listed inside the appartement. The location is very good - 5min walk to the sea side (bulwar) and 10min walk to city centrum (Świetojańska and Riwiera shopping center as well as public transport; bus tram and train/SKM).
The main reason I decided to revisit Gdynia was to stay at Willa Wincent. The hotel did not disappoint! Friendly staff on arrival, spacious and comfortable room with small kitchenette. Large balcony was a great added benefit! Free coffee in the lobby. Lovely patio at the back. I didn't try the breakfast as there are many amazing coffee shops in Gdynia.
I loved the close location to the beach.
If you're coming by car, there is free street parking nearby.
This is well maintained, clean and comfortable relatively small hotel in a quiet are of Gdynia but with very easy access by car to all destinations. Nice, clean rooms, comfortable bed. The room in the adjacent building was smaller than in the main one, but that is indicated during booking. Breakfast with splendid choice, however really fresh orange juice was missing. This was my second stay, and I would consider coming back again.
We visited this hotel during the Christmas time. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, we got a big room and we had access to jacuzzi and sauna during the whole stay. There was a Christmas buffet during the day and they had delicious traditional food and hot beetroot soup at most time. We also received a bonus welcome shot when we arrived, so it was very nice.
Location is good if your trip is aimed to visit Gdynia Seaport (Ferry Terminal to Sweden or Museum of Immigration or Polish Navy Museum). A bit far for Gdynia city center...The hotel is perfect example of well-done adaptation of old residential building from the 1930s - interesting architecture from the beginnings of Gdynia city.
Fantastic hotel, where you can truly rest and sleep well, because the hotel was designed for it. I would be happy if other hotels I have stayed before had the same approach as My Gdynia Store.
Excellent, quiet, comfortable hotel with great selection for breakfast.
The property is stylishly furnished, comfortable and located in a great spot. The hosts are friendly and provide some starter provisions so you don't have to go shopping as soon as you arrive ;)
Hope to stay here again next time we're in Gdynia!
The hotel has a superb location in downtown Gdynia near the pier, marina and city beach. The sea view rooms (recommended) have fantastic views, as the hotel is basically at the edge of the water. Rooms are large and clean. Wi-fi is excellent.
Pleasant hotel which is near the sea, with a walkway that you can walk with a view of the sea, but it is not near the beach. You have to walk almost 2 km to get to the beach. Courteous, nice staff.
Clean, well prepared, has all the basic equipment. The most important is the view, Gdynias panorama is wonderful from the big terrace. Communication with owner was good.
Mercure hotel located in a very nice place close to the view point "Panorama" and in 5 min from the Baltic Sea shore with promenade area. I would recommend this hotel!
A clean apartment located in a residential area. Grocery stores and restaurants within walkable distance. Easy access to public transportation to both Sopot and Gdynia.
