You could not fault this hotel for location, cleanliness, staff, food, comfort, facilities. The ONLY thing that the hotel didn't have was parking, but as it is so close to the station, and to the town, a car was completely superfluous in order to enjoy Darlington.

Our room in the Mews building was quiet and had very comfortable beds and bedding.
At breakfast, there was a very good choice of cooked and cold food available and the sausage and bacon were of high quality. It was nice to have (good) croissants on offer too.

I used to live here so only visiting family, unless you are here for the railway heritage there is not a lot to see in the town, but it is like most towns that we visit empty shops a sense of depreciation everywhere.

Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future.
Darlington is a vibrant northern town with a big future. You only have to look at the developments at the train station, and the fact part of the treasury is relocating there. A bigger brighter future for darlo awaits.

It was beautiful with lots of interesting history & it's got beautiful grounds which would be beautiful in the summer so can't wait to plan another trip to The George in the summer time. The room was very clean & had everything we needed. The only negative I have is we had to ask about information about meals etc but the staff were more than helpful

Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants.
Quiet town with plenty of shopping and restaurants. Local recreation and sightseeing, major train depot. I had good weather while I was there, nearly everything you need is within walking distance of most hotels.

The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The staff at 119 are just lovely, so friendly and helpful. The boss is prepared to do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible, he really is a top man! The facilities are faultless, everywhere is clean and tidy. The kitchen has tea and coffee facilities, and can be used whenever needed, (obviously taking other guests into consideration)
My partner and I have stayed here twice now and would not stay anywhere else, we have found somewhere that's comfortable friendly professional and above all else brilliant value for money.
We are back in January!
Beautiful hotel set in large grounds just outside Darlington centre. Lovely quiet setting and only a 30min walk from the town centre.
The hotel is full of character and history.
The staff at reception for very friendly and welcoming and I was checked in quickly. My room was immaculate. Very clean, comfy bed, nice en suite.
I did have a drink at the bar and they had a good selection of drinks. I had a pint of beer which was £5 so a good price.
Would definitely stay again.
It was an emergency booking to visit a relative at Darlington Memorial Hospital. Having the keycode and being able to get into the property when it suited me (11pm) was a great bonus - it saved me the worry of having to rush to meet hosts and collect keys.
The photo detailing entrance to parking space was a life saver as I was able to find it very quickly and have my car parked at property without aditional costs.
everything was as i expected, the room was just the right size for me and my wife. the staff was so friendly and cutiouse. The breakfast was so lovely, it was a pleasure to inhabit your hotel I will definitely let my feeling be known to all my associates. thank you to all your staff for looking after our needs hopefully we will be taking your hospitality once again when we next go to the theatre in Darlington
Very comfortable stay in a hotel that is well placed in the centre of town. We didn’t know Darlington (we had arranged to meet friends) but the town was surprisingly nice with plenty of bars and restaurants in a pleasant centre. Certainly recommend the tapas restaurant…!
Had few issues with a dodgy door lock (yep, that’s us…) but the staff were always pleasant and helpful.
Would be fine staying there again.
Lovely and cozy place. Pauline was very responsive to my questions and helpful. I was a bit concerned that I was going to be too far away from Darlington, etc., but was delighted to discover that I really could have walked to Teeside International Airport even though I did book a taxi in advance. Also, there was a nice pub nearby for my evening meal.
The room was a nice size very spacious and clean and we had a comfortable stay there is a restaurant attached to the hotel ideal for a quiet drink but I didn't really rate the food. If you want to go into Darlington town centre you can catch a bus 2minute walk across the road there are buses every half hour ideal if you don't want to drive.
Superb rural location close to Barnard Castle and Darlington. Very comfortable accommodation and good breakfast at a very competitive price.
On site restaurant with a comprehensive menu , good quality but perhaps slightly pricey.
It's a Best Western so you know what to expect and it delivers.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel
The town house is perfectly situated in the centre of Darlington and everything is a minutes walk away. The property was welcoming, clean and the host was exceptionally welcoming. The breakfast is a complete must as the quality of every item was displayed and cooked to perfection.
This is a family run business. All the staff are friendly, attentive and very professional. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a hotel in Darlington to book a room here. I have stayed many times and rate it very highly
Nothing wen you have people living in there permanent from housing benefit it's not a hotel it is a hostel would like my money back we should of stayed 2 nights but left after 1st nite
Friendly staff throughout my stay.
Modern room (a bit warm though); nice dining room, good bar, good location.
I actually rate the hotel better than a Premier Inn.
Nice apartment in a good location for the centre of Darlington, with everything you need. Easy access and seamless booking process. Bathrobes a nice touch.
Space and facilities compared booking a hotel like Premier Inn. Comfortable beds and a very good over bath shower.
like the facility to park car securely.
