Hull has changed so much since my last visit and I genuinely adored my trip. The shops, bars, restaurants and sights were top notch. The marina is beautiful, the range of independent places to eat drink and shop is wonderful. The arcade and market all add to a great vibe and I can’t wait to visit again!

Never knew how much there is to do here!
Never knew how much there is to do here! We had a lovely walk into town and popped into a few of the older pubs (highly recommend Minerva, Ye Olde Black Boy and Fretwells). Was much busier than expected on Saturday afternoon! Then visited the museum quarter the next day and loved it. Will be returning to do some of the trails! Locals friendly, especially en route to and at the football ground. Only thing that could have made it better was if Hull had let us have all 3 points!

Marina area & museums excellent.
Marina area & museums excellent. Old town quite tatty & not much to see. Recommend Hull as a base with 1 day to walk around + 1 museum + 1 more for the Deep & another museum. Highly recommend beautiful Beverley for a visit

I used to study there sometime in the last century.
I used to study there sometime in the last century. It is a quirky and interesting city, not beautiful like Edinburgh or Venice but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of beauty to be found if you take a close look.
Hull gets slagged off by people who have never been there, which is very unfair. It has a lot of history and nice architecture. And compared to most other major cities it's cheap as chips (and the chips are very good!)
Arrive there via the magnificent Humber Bridge. Visit the Ferens Art Gallery. Take in a show at Hull Truck, The New Theatre or the World Class Don Roy Theatre at the university campus. And enjoy the revitalised harbour and Old Town

In 2 days we visited the Deep, Ferens Art Gallery, and 4 museums, plus lots of great real ale pubs and a couple of good restaurants. We will revisit in 2025 for the Maritime museum, botanical gardens and the street food in be market hall which looked great and more pubs of course
The location for our needs for the city centre and the marina were perfect. The free parking in the retail centre really helped and also brought them a little trade. The staff couldn’t have been any better, helpful, friendly and welcoming plus professional. Don’t Judge a book by it’s cover. We had other arrangements in place so didn’t sample the food but the place was full of diners.
Great location in the centre of Hull, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Lady on the reception was very helpful and friendly and we were given a room upgrade on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. Parking outside hotel is a pay meter but hotel will give you a permit for free parking at Albion street car park. Breakfast was superb, piping hot in lovely surroundings.
Our stay at City Apartments was pleasant, good communication with the owner, very helpful. Good price for what you get, very large modern apartment. Private car park you have to pay for which is right outside the apartment. The location was close to the city centre. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would definitely stay again and really recommend it.
Room was cold, no milk & phone broken. When stated this to reception I was moved & told I'd be upgraded, I wasn't.
My car was broken into in the car park & I wasn't notified by hotel although I had to register my vehicle when I checked in. Car was in view of reception desk although when I went down at 1:15am there was no one on reception.
Brilliant location and great staff. Everyone had a smile on their face and had a chat with you. 5 minute walk from train station and 10 minutes from hull city centre and the Humber. Room was a good size and was clean. Breakfast was included and was standard hotel breakfast.ideal hotel for exploring the coast and local area
+1. Location - it is the second closest hotel to Hull's Paragon bus & rail interchange (a 250m level walk).
+2. All the facilities that travellers need of a city centre hotel.
+3. Reasonably priced considering its location.
+4. Staff are happy to look after luggage, even at times when the guest isn't staying there
Dependable quality of room, which has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The room is of a good size and the hotel maintain a good level of housekeeping and cleanliness. Beds are comfortable, although single beds are smaller than at similar hotels. The bathroom has both a bath and shower and is of a good size.
Just what you would want from a budget hotel.. clean, comfortable and friendly welcome. Perfect location for Connexin concert venue and cheap parking. We would not book anywhere else.
Well done Ibis Hull, keep up the excellent work.
The hotel was well situated for a night out at Hull theatre and was a good price. The hotel has done their best to make an old accommodation as clean and comfy as possible without investing in major renovations.
Property was excellent and had a VERY safe feeling.
Secure car park is a massive plus as many major hotels in Hull don’t have any.
12 min walk to city centre £5 taxi from the station.
This place is a gem.
The hotel is very traditional and very nice particularly worth with the price. Near city centre. Great location and stuffs were very friendly. I enjoyed it. Much recommending.
Great location near to both marina and city centre with shops/pubs/restaurants. Free parking space. Fairly quiet. Nicely decorated and furnished. Would stay here again.
The staff are pleasant and the breakfast is good overall it’s cheaper than some of its competitors the hotel has plenty of parking and is east of hull.
