I wasn't in Maynooth as a tourist, I was visiting family. But I know it is a very nice place with good restaurants and interesting places to visit in the vicinity. It is also not too far from Dublin city.

The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth.
The location on the advert suggested it was in Maynooth. It wasn’t. Very frustrating to not have supplied an eircode for travel to the accommodation
The dirty toilet and scruffy tattered blind did not enhance our visit.

The owners were extremely helpful, informative, polite and hospitable. They went out of their way each day to check on us and see if we needed help seeing the sights of Dublin. They were very warm and caring.

There is so much to see and do in Maynooth and within a few minutes drive. It is one of those hidden gems that most people don't know about. We did a castle tour and our OPW guide was so knowledgeable. We visited St Patrick's College which is just so full of history and has wonderful gardens and ivy covered buildings. A short drive from Maynooth (<3 miles) we saw Connolly's Folly (The Obelisk), Carton House, and Castletown House and Parklands where we had another OPW tour after we strolled through the tree trail and gardens. We had a pint in the Roost. We had wonderful meals in several local restaurants. We took the train into Dublin. The Train Station is just across the street from the Hotel - so convenient and such a nice train ride. We did some necessary shopping in Maynooth and found everything that we needed walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed the small town charm of Maynooth with the amenities we wanted.

Unfortunately we did not stay long enough to explore Maynooth and had a short walk in the town the evening we arrived. It seemed lovely and there were some bars and fast food outlets near the campus and our stay at campus itself was not disturbed in any way by it's closeness to the bars, it was a very peaceful location.

Because we were attending a funeral in Clondalkin we booked one of the most affordable places to stay within a reasonable vicinity. Therefore we did not explore, only by mistake when my sister and brother-in-law found themselves in the college campus. It would be unfair to say that we got any sense of Maynooth during this trip, not the fault of Maynooth
Very clean, room was a good size, beds were very comfortable. Good kids facilities - small pack with book, sweets, lollipop and crayons on check-in, nice kids menu, kids club open from 4.30 to 7pm while we were there and the girls were very friendly and engaging. Plenty of parking. Great location, close to the train station and Maynooth town itself and lovely big playground 2 mins walk away. We had dinner in the Enclosure restaurant and it was delicious. Staff overall were very nice and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
Maynooth Campus was a perfect location for that part of our Ireland trip. The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. There were many dinner options just off camputs, and we enjoyed the breakfast in the next building over. We also very much enjoyed walking around the campus and the castle ruins. Fascinating history!
This was a beautiful house in the Kildare countryside. It was so peaceful. The room was old style with big windows and a very comfortable bed.
Jim was a friendly welcoming host. We were attending a wedding in Barberstown Castle and Jim gave us a lift over (approx 10 minutes by car) which we appreciated so much.
Fantastic place in the hearth of Maynooth. Located around 25km west from Dublin. All necessary shops and restaurants nearby. Bus stop just outside the door, train 5 min. walk. Room very clean and fully equiped. Very comfortable bed, nice kitchenette with basic utensils. Highly recommended!
This place is magical- absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated with gorgeous ground that you can walk for hours. The food, the room, the staff- everything was perfection! The best hotel we have ever stayed at in Ireland, and maybe the best of our entire travels. Highly recommend!
The place is pretty well located, plenty options to get to Dublin and cool town with many options about restaurants, shopping, etc.
Bathrooms and showers were always clean and the fact that there are 3 of each in each floor, improve the stay.
Nice place and surroundings.
Staff were super helpful and very friendly. Check in was easy and breakfast was a very high quality. Clean hotel and a great location to get to Maynooth town and down to the canal. Lovely Rituals toiletries in bathroom. And water in cartons in the room every day.
LOVELY location. Very clean and updated room and bathroom. Great communication with owners, even when we needed to contact them late in the evening. Nice quiet location with short drive to the commuter train in Maynooth.
So easy to use ! Didnt see any staff. Lock box on the front door with a key, then lock box at the room door , with key for front door and room.
Perfect location. Main street Maynooth .
Bottles of water in the room.
Very clean. Quite. Location is very good, 2 mins outside Maynooth if driving. Could easily walk to if needed. Host was very nice with messages directly after booking and on the day of arrive with directions.
We selected Glenroyal Hotel due to its proximity to the Dublin airport. It was an easy half-hour drive to the airport but it was the city's and the hotel's amenities that made Genroyal stand out.
The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a nice shower. The location itself was spot on. Right in the centre of Maynooth.
