Sligo itself was ok but to be honest we stayed because it was central to the area we wanted to explore.

I judge a place by its people, and to me they make you feel very welcome. Myself &the Mrs go to Sligo Town, at least six times a year for 2/ 3 days at a time. Its home from home, great food , great bars, Trad music, and great to relax. Love Sligo

We were mostly in the Strandhill area which is beautiful. Lots of places to eat and drink. Beautiful beach area where surfers were surfing, and Knocknarea to climb if you have the legs for it! Dinner at The Venue and best we’ve had so far.
The Strand Bar was fantastic too. Fresh sweet seafood!

Sligo is a lovely place, both for itself and its location to explore lots of interesting places nearby. There are lots of cafes and restaurants to suit every taste.
The man in the tourist office was so nice and helpful. We were sorry that we couldn't go on the walking tour It sounded very interesting .
The one way traffic system is a bit confusing but we got used to it quickly. Actually, I'd advise people to park the car and just walk.. its much quicker.
I stayed at this property four years ago, and found it even better this time. The fitness center is fantastic (one of the best I have ever seen in a hotel), the rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms freshly renovated, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Sligo Park Hotel is not far from the stately Markee Castle and it’s beautiful grounds (definitely worth a visit)! I highly recommend this lovely property for a fabulous stay in Sligo.
Amazing location in a unique building with super friendly welcoming and obliging staff. The genuinely friendly welcome we received from Robert was the best we’ve experienced!
Short walk to gorgeous bay/ beach, surrounded by beautiful gardens and forest and staying in a over 100 year old mansion- away from the hustle of Sligo makes for a great stay.
Only sorry we didn’t stay longer
Good city centre location for anyone either travelling by career via coach/train (next to both stations). Within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and the river. Reception staff friendly. Spacious hotel & an indoor pool handy on bad weather days (although can only book 50 min slots and it's first come first serve).
Our room in the Sligo City Hotel was quite comfortable for two people. We each had a twin bed with comfortable bedding. The bathroom was great. A very nice shower with great water pressure and shampoo / body wash provided. The hotel was directly across from a good gastropub (we enjoyed our dinner there on Sunday night).
Everything. Began with the lively welcome and briefing on Sligo from the wonderful Mary and Kieron. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Great tips on dinner and entertainment options also.
Breakfast was great. Fresh and many options. Coffee was good too!
Couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you!
Ended up in sligo with my daughter being admitted to hospital, this place give the Clayton hotel a run for its money at half the price.Host was very personable and very understanding of the situation when you just need to put your head down for a few hrs.
Price compared to hotels in sligo but when you add price of taxis into town and buying your own breakfast it might work out same price.
Very spacious lots of room family of 4.
Girl at reception very helpful.
Breakfast good i paid 185 euros incl . Breakfast a bit expensive but maybe sign of yhe tines we are living in but staff were courteous and helpful. Thanks for the nice stat in the Glasshouse Hotel Sligo
It was spacious and well appointed. We had everything we needed for continental breakfast. It was a quick car ride into Sligo. The owners were right next door and very helpful with information.

.we have stayed here 4 times and will continue to book this hotel in sligo.
The views are amazing. Less than 10 minute drive to sligo city centre. The apartments themselves were great, a home from home for a week. Would 100% stay again
