Greeted by Rafaele in the evening. Very kind and helpful. He even offered to upgrade us to a slightly larger room as it was available that night. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and good. The property is very well maintained, clean, and comfortable. If you have a car and prefer staying out of the city center this is ideal.

Villa Volpi has a peaceful hilltop location and a swimming pool with sun terrace offering panoramic views out over the Tuscan countryside. The town of Lucca is a 15-minute drive away.

The owner Marco was a true gentleman. Willing to help in so many ways to make my stay both memorable and comfortable. Room was very clean. Shower and bathroom were very nice. Room was quiet. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner was extremely well done!

The apartment is located a short drive from Lucca in a quiet neighborhood. We had the best pizza in Lucca at a neighborhood take-away pizzeria down the street. The apartment is on the ground floor and was spacious, clean, and nice and cool, despite the heat. The owners answered our online last-minute plea for a stay that evening (AirBnB and the owner of Villa Agnese had messed up our reservation - without an apology- in Lucca and left the 7 of us stranded with nowhere to stay, at high season, on a Saturday.). These owners had their apartment ready for us within 2 hours after our inquiry, met us at the door with the keys, and explained the workings of the apartment (in Italian). We were very appreciative and enjoyed the apartment.
