I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and let me tell you, it was an absolute 5-star experience! 🌟 The location was perfect, offering stunning views of Galway Bay and the local pier. The room itself was simply breathtaking, finished to an incredibly high standard. I loved the attention to detail, especially the beautiful Voya products in the bathroom. It even had a smart TV in the room, which was a great bonus. Shauna at the front desk was an absolute delight, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast was a true highlight, with the most amazing pancakes you can imagine, all enjoyed with a view of the bay. The menu was well-priced and offered a great variety of options. The hotel had such a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. Plus, they had parking available, and even electric chargers, which was super convenient. The flexible check-in process was a nice touch as well. I highly recommend this place, and I can say with certainty that I will be returning in the future. It's an absolute gem! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We hiked in the Burren National Park (which is free), and that was lovely. It's very rocky, so I'd recommend bringing hiking boots or really durable shoes if you're planning on going on some of the more difficult trails. We ate at Leanne's Lobster Bar and Monk's Seafood - both were great, though their menus do overlap quite a bit (but we enjoyed something different both nights).

Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee.
Very little choice of places to eat or have a coffee. Tea rooms not open at 11am on Thursday as suggested. Had a fab dinner at Monks and on a return visit next morning at 1130am had great tea n scones in front of blazing stove. Superb.

The hosts were very friendly right from greeting us upon arrival and giving us tips to serving us breakfast before we left. The full Irish breakfast was very good. We had dinner before arriving in Ballyvaughan, and only stayed for one night. We had a car, so it was easy for us to drive into the town centre from there. We would stay there again. We were given tips of sites to see when we left, and one we were glad not to miss was the Poulnabrone Portal tomb.

We only were able to stay one night. It was a great launch pad for visiting the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher. The people were friendly, the food was great and the pub was fun with local, live music!
We recommend it!

The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers.
The Clare Way is a nice way for walkers. There are at least two good places to eat out.
Some side roads are in a poor state of repair. Clare County Council need to fill the pot holes and try and keep the roads in decent repair. This includes some access routes to this property.

A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for...
A beautiful traditional Irish village with all you need for a comfortable varied stay in Ireland. Situated between the stunning Burren and the cliffs off the Atlantic Ocean, and nestled on the south side of Galway Bay, Ballyvaughan is ideally located. There are a lot of places to visit in the area. You can swim in the bay or on the nearby Bishop's Quarter beach. In Summer or Winter there are lovely places to visit and in Ballyvaughan alone, the fabulous Monk's seafood restaurant is a great spot with super friendly staff, a warm welcome and really fabulous food. I cannot wait to go back to Ballyvaughan!
The location was perfect for our stay right in the centre of Ballyvaughan near to cafes and restaurants. The house was clean , bright and comfortable.
Only downside was our en-suite did not work during our stay. The owner was notified and said it would require to be checked by an electrician. In this instance we were lucky to be able to use the shower in the main bathroom as we were not sharing the house with anyone else.
Location was ok, it is perfect on the main road if that is what you are looking for and great for The Burren, I did not realise that Ballyvaughan wasn't much of a town but one street with very few shops, restaurants, etc. Also, the main road is loud for my understanding.
The hosts are really nice, the breakfast is amazing, really amazing, the decoration all over the place is perfect.
I liked that Helen's explanations made it easy for me to find the location of the hotel. A very nice landlady greeted me sincerely. Very clean and cozy room with a beautiful view from the window. Comfortable bed. Cozy, warm, comfortable. I am grateful. And I recommend the Barrymor Tween for backpackers and vacationers
I like the fact that parking was available on the back of property. It may be different during peak season.
Since I recently twisted my ankle and not so mobile, I was grateful the lodge had a lift. Room 10 is right next to the lift and comfortable. Plus the lodge had a bar and restaurant.
Ballyvaughan Lodge is an exceptional bnb. The attention to detail was phenomenal, and our stay felt very special. Gerry and Pauline are wonderful hosts and had fantastic recommendations for the local area. The room was fabulous and the breakfast is delicious, really sets you up for the day!
We had a gorgeous stay at the Creggs in the perfect little town of Ballyvaughan. From our welcome to the freshly cooked breakfast to the comfortable room, everything was lovely & full of care. Karen makes hosting looks effortless.
The hotel was beautiful with polite owners and an amazing breakfast. The room was spacious with everything you need and the bed was huge. The hotel has its own parking space which was very convince. Every thing was great!
Fanciest B&B out of 3 trips to Ireland. More formal with paid staff rather than just the owner doing all the work. The breakfast room is more like a restaurant with a huge buffet of fresh fruits and homemade fruit compotes.
I loved EVERYTHING about this place and hope we make it back to Ireland for we will definitely try to stay here again. The aesthetics and attention to detail were beautiful. We also loved the view and location.
Very spacious and comfortable cottage. Great location to explore County Clare from (and tip up to Galway on a rainy day 🙂). Nice bars and restaurants in Ballyvaughen, would recommend dropping into O'Loclainn's
The rooms! I always go for hotel over bnb type places and I was afraid that this was going to be like that, but it’s definitely a hotel! And still has a nice Irish lodge touch 😊
The Burren View B&B was the cutest little B&B I have ever seen! The host was incredibly generous and friendly. It's really close to Ballyvaughan, a super cute tiny city!
The hotel is charming and Maria and Walter were very hospitable and welcoming. All of the detail that went into every room and the candle on the table at breakkfast.
Located in the center of Ballyvaughan. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of different dishes and a buffet. The Hotel also has a bar serving bar food.
