The Sporthotel Walliserhof is located 1200 metres above sea level in the little village of Unterbäch, 800 metres from the next lift of the Unterbäch-Ginals Ski Area. Staff was very hospitable. A bit challenging to communicate in English, but somehow managed to deal with them in half German, half English :-) They do have in the corridors shoes dryers - which was a huge bonus after a rainy day! Room - good size and clean with quite nice view into the village and mountains.

The views were excellent and it was conveniently located as a base to explore the Magic Pass ski areas in this region of the Valais. I think it would also be a lovely place to stay in the summer. Florian was a very friendly and helpful host.
