Offering an indoor pool, a spa and a fitness center, Holiday Inn Bucaramanga is just a 20-minute drive from the airport. It also offers an on-site restaurant and bar. I loved the view in the restaurant and pool. My very comfortable room also had a fantastic view. The breakfast was awesome. The food in the restaurant was really delicious. The staff in the hotel and all areas was always friendly and extremely kind and helpful. A plus of this hotel is that there is a mall which you have access without getting the street.

Busy city but the place to get organized in Santander. Lots of nice hotels and restaurants great prices. Not the easiest city to get around but Dizen of inexpensive cabs on every corner. Check out the organized central market. No one comes here but its one of the least expensive cities in Colombia and the people are great.

On the long drive from Santander to Medellín, I needed a place to spend the night as it was getting late and I was very tired. The Booking.com app turned up this gem of a hotel in Barrancabermeja, where I enjoyed a very pleasant night. It's perfect for a night's stay—it is clean, has strong wifi, is located in in close proximity to restaurants, and has adjacent secure parking. Perfect for breaking up a long journey! Nothing, we just needed to stay there because of the night time of arrival, otherwise I'd rather book somewhere else. They even called the room at midnight because they needed the main guest's name when I checked in at the reception at 7 pm. So unpleasant. Staff is drinking beers at the reception. Nothing professional.
