Lovely location on vineyard. Views are amazing from room and restaurant. Breakfast was good. Lovely room with balcony overlooking vineyards is unique. Enjoyed meal and wine in the restaurant, service was excellent as was the food. Reception staff were very hospitable and helpful. Liked the grounds and winery area in general. Good location on main road giving quick access to local areas.

Saiaritz offers air conditioned accommodation located in Amurrio in the Ayala Valley, 30 km away from Bilbao. Each room at this hotel comes with terrace, TV and a private bathroom. We chose Saiaritz to have a rural base close to Bilbao, with parking. It was a good plan but Saiaritz made it fantastic. The building is architect built, beautifully finished. Amurrio lies in a lovely green plain, surrounded by hills; in the middle of Spain’s heatwave we stayed cool. We could take the (air conditioned) train from Amurrio to Bilbao for a few euros, with no parking hassles. But by far the highlight of our stay at Saiaritz was the hilarious and warm family who run it, Eritzu (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name, but she will know I mean her) her brother Angel, parents, grandparents, children alll play a part in making you feel welcome.
