Highfield features great lake and mountain views and its own private car park. The beautiful rooms have en suite bathrooms and tea/coffee making facilities. Warm welcome, excellent breakfast, ample parking. Great location. The honesty bar was a winner. Highly recommend a stay.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. Great place in the country side, really nice staff and an excellent restaurant. Nice bar an relaxing area. Hotel is dog friendly, perhaps due to that you easily come in contact with the other guests

Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens. The charming rooms have TVs and tea and coffee facilities, and many have breathtaking views of the valley and fells. The staff and hotel was exceptional. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay in again in the future.

Situated on the beautiful lower slopes of Skiddaw, Lyzzick Hall Hotel offers impressive mountain views and an on-site restaurant with extensive wine cellar. Great hotel, exceptionally clean and tidy. Staff were all very friendly and very attentive. Excellent food and service.

מלון מארי מאונט (The Mary Mount Hotel) שוכן על חופי דרוונטווטר (Derwentwater), בתוך 5 דונם של גני וודלנד (woodland gardens). החדרים כוללים נוף כפרי וחדר רחצה צמוד. We were joined for lunch by relatives and we were celebrating 60 yrs of marriage. Our lunch was delightful. Friends and a family member joined us for an evening meal and I was somewhat disappointed with the meal especially the Sticky Toffee pudding which was pure delight at lunchtime and was served with raspberries and blue berries. The evening Sticky Toffee Pudding had no fruit on and was served with a skimpy amount of sauce - I was disappointed too with the Chicken.......It was a super special night and I was disappointed with the evening meal.

The 18th-century Royal Oak at Keswick is located in the market town of Keswick, just 2 miles from Derwentwater. Room was lovely. Breakfast and dinner were also wonderful.
