Located in Penrith in Cumbria, just 7 miles from the Lake District Park, The Lounge Hotel & Bar offers a restaurant and a bar, just 5 miles from Lake Ullswater. Breakfast was awesome, as well as the other food I ordered while there. The most solicitous staff and ownership, truly wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Just outside of Penrith, the Brantwood Hotel is less than 3 miles from Ullswater. Just one mile from the junction 40 of M6 it offers en suite bedrooms and TVs. We loved that this felt like a truely authentic English Hotel experience. Delicious hearty food, friendly staff and beautifully decorated.

The traditional The George Hotel, stands in the very centre of the bustling market town of Penrith on the edge of the Lake District and the North Pennines. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was lovely, location excellent. Our room was great!

Boasting an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, and modern rooms, the 4-star luxury North Lakes Hotel and Spa, is located just off the M6 motorway. everything, the location was perfect, food very good and all the staff were amazing. a little girl called Ollie looked after us in the restaurant she was a breath of fresh air beautiful smile the staff were so happy and paid great attention to detail. very happy with all of them.

The Roundthorn Country House and luxury self-catering Mews Apartments are set in landscaped gardens, with panoramic views of the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells. First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.
