Situated in Dundalk, the family run Ballymascanlon Hotel and Golf Resort is set within 130 acres of parkland. We had a late check in due to unforeseen circumstances. The staff were so accommodating. Breakfast was first class and our two boys loved the pool facilities. We will definitely be back.

Flynns of Termonfeckin Boutique Hotel is located on the banks of the Ballywater River and is a 10-minute walk from the beach and a 5-minute drive from Drogheda. Beautiful rooms and location fabulous breakfast and staff were so nice. There is a lovely bar attached also.

The room is ispacious and comfortable, the restaurant on the top floor has a beautiful view and delicious food. The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub separate, which is very convenient. The breakfast was great, with a big buffet and fluffy Pancakes made to order as part of the price.

Escape to The Carrickdale for comfort and indulgence on the Cooley Peninsula. It has a leisure centre, a fitness centre and the therapeutic Serenity Spa. The absolutely gorgeous hidden garden across the street from the hotel- we spent over an hour there - so many pretty flowers and plants to look at! The cafe was good as well with a lovely view of the gazebo and flowers
